Introduction of Pomegranate Bears Seeds Which Hold Together
It is a music composition which vividly reflects the new life of local people in Yi area in Daliang and Xiaoliang mountains after “poverty alleviation” in the new era.

The Liang mountain, Sichuan is home to pomegranates. When pomegranates bloom, the mountains and fields are quite beautiful. You may speak out the sentence spontaneously: “the flowers of pomegranates are as red as fire”. The High-pitched Tunes in Yi ethnic group in Liang mountain, according to language family, can be divided into four kinds including A Du High-pitched Tunes, Shi Zha High-pitched Tunes , Yi Nuo High-pitched Tunes as well as Suo Di High-pitched Tunes. The whole piece is filled with strong ethnic features. It is presented with a cappella mixed chorus with a high artistic level. Compared with the traditional chorus works and Yi nationality High-pitched Tunes or general songs, it proves an innovative inheritance and development in terms of creation skills and way of singing.

Keeping in mind the words of General Secretary Xi Jinping, the author strives to further study the important concept of “pomegranate seeds” which symbolizes national unity and tries to carry out relevant dissemination and interpretation.
lyricist and composer:
Yi Yi who graduated from Sichuan Conservatory of Music is the lyricist and composer of this work. Yi Yi has worked in the cultural field at the grassroots level in Daliangshan and Xiaoliangshan mountains for a long time. Besides, Yi Yi has received great awards at national and provincial level involving “Chinese contemporary song creation excellent project” and “small works and songs funded by China National Arts Fund (CNAF)”.
